Hi, I'm Aaron from Fieldmotion. Today we're designing a business card in Canva from scratch.

A good business card is still one of the cheapest marketing tools a trades business has. It goes in wallets, on fridges and in glove boxes.

Let's start by opening Canva and creating a custom design at 85 by 55 millimetres.

Setting up for print

First, turn on the bleed in the File menu. This gives the printer a few extra millimetres so nothing gets cut off.

Next, add your logo in the top left and keep plenty of space around it. Crowded cards look cheap.

Finally, add your name, phone number and website in one clear font, and export it as a PDF for printing.
